Default Gurnard Open and Training Day

We (ok it was Paul) have arranged a very good discounted ferry deal to get you, your friends/family, your car and your boat over to the lovely Isle of Wight for our open meeting and training day.

The offer is with Wightlink who sail from Lymington and Portsmouth.

To get the discounted price do the following –

Phone Wightlink Trade Desk (not the main ticket office number) on – 02392 855260.
Quote the reference – MPSTE1 and book you, your car, your trailer and up to 4 other passengers for only £44.30. (Take it from me, that is cheap).

You can travel from Thursday 6th to Tuesday 11th May but not between 0545 and 0925 on a week day (it is unrestricted on the weekend)

Camping is probably available next to our dinghy park and I will have details on here soon.
We still have availability in our self catering properties for that weekend if anyone is interested.

Further to Carl's posting regarding the ferry deal for the Gurnard TT dont forget to book the trailer even though in the deal its free.

We are putting together a plan for the training day and TT so need your help to establish how many vistors are coming to Gurnard.

So hands up please anyone who is coming .

If you cannot get across with your shadow then you are most welcome to attend the training day on the Friday . You may not be able to take part in the on water action but certainly the onshore overview on rigging and tuning would be benificial. Also where do you get to watch 12 plus shadow racing together. We can arrange for someone to collect from one of the ferry ports on the island so let me know.

Look forward to hearing from you all .

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Chas dont you want to stay in one of my properties?
Did you not get my PM?
'Seawinds' is avalable from thursday pm so it could work well for you.

The property that I have offered to Chas and Jan has three bedrooms so if anyone else wants very very cheap (but 4 star) self catering accommodation, pissing distance from the boat park please contact me.

Bruce - you can have a room in one of our places. Regarding cost, all we will be looking for are donations to cover the cost of laundry and cleaning the property after your visit.
Olly - sorry for the delay but I have now confirmed that camping on the grass next to the stream is ok and the cost will be £5 per tent per night.

Hi Carl,
Yes, I got the PM but obviously didn't read it properly.
Yes please, can I have a room (or at least a bed) at Seawinds.

Jan uncertain because she may be helping offspring to move house.

Hi Carl,
That's great. Please keep me a space. Can bring sleeping bag, air mattress if space becomes tight. Just too early in the year for sleeping under canvass.
